Like many towns we have a large number of sports groups and clubs, many of whom have been in existence over the years.  As at October 2021, our earliest information is about bowling dating back to 1554.  Read on to find out about the history of our local sports - we will be adding more as we uncover more information.

Rattray's Sports Trophies

There are many iconic sports' trophies with fascinating histories eg. The Ashes (cricket), The America's Cup (yachting), King George V Gold Cup (horse racing), Calcutta Cup (rugby).  None of those is more special or more legendary to the people of Rattray than these sports trophies:
